Professional Designation?

Professional Designation?

Professional Designation?

(OP)
When a recruiter asks for a professional designation (while possessing my resume,) what exactly is the recruiter asking for?

I've never had someone ask me if I had a professional designation.

Clansman

RE: Professional Designation?

P.E., EIT, or some of the special structural letter groups?  Who knows what a recruiter is talking about at any given moment.

Ditto

Well, the position is for an EIT and my resume states "EIT" in big bold letters and in my email signature.

RE: Professional Designation?

Ask the recruiter and you might find out.  Unfortunately, you might get an answer like "it required for the form and I am not sure."  If the recruiter does not know, tell them again that you are an EIT.

RE: Professional Designation?

Is he looking for something like:
Junior Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer, Associate etc. etc.

RE: Professional Designation?

Hmm- the recruiter doesn't understand what they're recruiting!  Not the first time that's happened!

RE: Professional Designation?

You see lots of Certified Project Mangager (CPM) and such acronyns these days; (or is that certified procurement manager?).

RE: Professional Designation?

Or maybe Confused, Posing, Minion?
