Transformer Substation in USA

Transformer Substation in USA

(OP)
Hello,

I must do an initial quotation for transformer substation and switchgear for a USA power plant. I have no experience with USA companies and switchgear manufacturers because all my previous work has been done within IEC world.

Could someone tell me where to locate brochures and spec sheets for the following:
-Transformer, dry-type 4.16 kV / 480 V 3-phase, 250 kVA
-Switchgear for incoming line, outgoing line and transformer protection
-Enclosure (prefabricated transformer substation)
-UPS 250 kVA with batteries rated 20 kVA 5 minutes.

I only need information about web pages with manufacturers that sell those items.
Thanks.

RE: Transformer Substation in USA

I don't know what is the best for all of these, but one source for all of these would be ABB.
The Dry type transformer isen't something most utilities use in the US, and 4.16kv to 480 is more of an industrial rating.
There are several good switchgear manufactures.
UPS again are more industrial so is outside what most utilities use.

Enclosure? Not sure what you are wanting. We usually use fence.

Try this link for several web references: http://home.att.net/~john.horak/
It has several links to US manufactures.
