Saving a PLC program from a Mitsubishi?

Saving a PLC program from a Mitsubishi?

(OP)
Hi,

Sorry to be ignorant, I need to connect to an existing PLC (in use) and take a copy of the program (without affecting the machine that is connected to it) and then save it to my laptop.  The program is our property but it is to be adapted slightly and used elsewhere.

The PLC is mitsubish Fx1 series and I have a copy of GX developer.

The person who would normally do this is on long term sick leave and me being the only other technically competant (process engineer) person available I have been asked to attend site to do it.

I have done this in the past, a long time ago but could someone please guide me through the steps of the procedure please??

I know this may sound a bit basic to some but I would really appreciate the help.

Many thanks in advance

Beatts
