Solidworks to DWG, Blocks copy each other in AutoCad

Solidworks to DWG, Blocks copy each other in AutoCad

(OP)
My customer needs to have all his files in DWG and saved out to one DWG file. I batch convert all my Solidworks drawings to DWG and then macro a copy / paste to the master DWG file. Problem is that the hole chart becomes a block and assumes the properties of the 1st block inported into AutoCad. Every time I copy and paste a new drawing into AutoCad the hole chart changes. The blocks have the same name.

I have not found a way inside Soildworks to not give this block a name. I could macro my way out of this..but is there anything I can do inside Solidworks?

Yes, do everything in SW and trash ACAD. thumbsup2

You will not have a clean transfer of all data from SW to ACAD. Try saving the SW drawing as DXF then import into ACAD and save as DWG.

I refuse to use both apps together, it's more work than needed.
