MWelectric isen't the same as MWthermal because of losses in the turban and generator.
And often forgotten is the transformer losses, auxilury losses, and alternate uses of steam.

Also consiter low BTU heat used for preheating intake air.

Bottom line is MWelectric is the only measurment that captures the whole beast (except the rare steam sales).
