Disappearing Model Dimensions

Disappearing Model Dimensions

Disappearing Model Dimensions

(OP)
I have a model with 2 different configurations.
I have the associated drawing with 2 sheets, each showing a different configuration.
When making the drawing, I made the first sheet and organized my views and imported dimensions the way that I wanted.  I then added a new sheet and imported the views and dimensions from the second configuration.
The problem is that now whenever I switch between the sheet tabs, to view the other configuration, the "Annotation Update?" dialogue box comes up automatically and, many of my dimensions are altered back to their default import view and location, as well as being automatically switched to hidden.  This means that every time I switch drawings half my dimensioning scheme disappears and gets its format altered.  The only workaround I found so far is to hide all the dimensions from the model and make myself new reference ones within the drawing (it only seems to be messing with some model dimensions).  Has anyone else seen this problem?  Or know what the heck is going on?  I know that having to re-do a drawing every time I go to it is not the most efficient way to work.
