SRU feed and process gas sampling

SRU feed and process gas sampling

(OP)

Does anyone know any company which provides reliable gas sampling systems dedicated to sulfur recovery units?

I wonder if it is possible to take representative sample of SRU gases for laboratory testing. I am thinking of testing composition of Amine Regenerator Sour Gas and maybe process gases after each sulfur condenser.

Have you ever tried taking such samples in your SRUs? If yes, what are your experiences?

Are on-line analysers only reliable method for determining composition?

RE: SRU feed and process gas sampling

I believe Sulfur Experts and Brimstone provide on-site services to analyze the streams you mention.  BR&E's ProMax accurately and easily simulates amine contacting, amine regeneration, sour water stripping, SRU, and TGCU in a single model.  Model predictions might be useful to you as well.

RE: SRU feed and process gas sampling

Galvanic and Ametek are among the online analyzers.
