Is it structurally feasible to substitute 400 series stainless for 304, assuming that we would spec the same strength?

Is there any cost advantage in using 400 series stainless instead of 304?

Needs to be field welded.

if memory serves me correctly.....410 wasn't very good corrosion-wise.  304 performed better from what i remember.
