Cooling Tower Concrete Basin Coating Product

Cooling Tower Concrete Basin Coating Product

Cooling Tower Concrete Basin Coating Product

(OP)
We are working on a project where the client is looking at waterproofing the concrete basins of existing cooling towers.
The basins are in desperate need of protection and have been subjected to condenser water with bromine based chem treatment and inhibitors for 20 years.  I am wondering if anyone has experience or recommendations for products.

Client tried applying a Polyurea spray on product which has failed within one month, and are looking for alternatives.

Thanks

Maybe it is possible to apply fiberglass-resin on site.

I'd call Plastocor and see if their solvent free epoxy coating would be the ticket.  I once saw them evaluated for coating of a cooling tower acid pit.  They were a little pricey for that application, however.

Thanks for the replies - we are still not sure exactly which way we will go with this, as it may be a surface prep issue as well.  Will post back if we get a result.

Concrete Basin Lining - Industrial Basins and Pits
When the need for lining the basins of larger towers that are constructed over a deep concrete basin, or any size concrete basin, pit or retaining pond, we can spray in a waterproof rubberized lining. We can also successfully waterproof stabilized earthen retaining walls and dams around vessels and storage tanks with a sprayed on rubberized lining.
