glossary for motor of electrical submersible pump

(OP)
I am reading a paper about motor of electrical submersible pump (ESP). I have come across some terms that I am not sure.

coil end?
end coil?
Are coil end and end coil differnt?
magnet wire?
Motor housing?
ESP housing?
are ESP housing and Motor housing different?
are magnet wire and end coil different?
what is magnet wire conductor? different between magent wire nad magnet wire conductor

what is the coil retention system?

Thank you so much.

RE: glossary for motor of electrical submersible pump

magnet wire is the wire that is used for all motors.  It has a central copper conductor coated with a very thin layer of insulation (usually enamel, sometimes more).   The small thickness of insulation is a desirable property for windings in all types of magnetic coils... hence the name magnet wire. (magnet like electromagnetic).

Quote:

what is magnet wire conductor?
The conductor (copper) portion of the magnet wire.

coil end coil could be referring to the portion of the coil that extends past the slot.

"line end coil" refers to the coil connected to the line leads.

Motor housing would be steel or other metal frame encclosing the entire motor (stator core, stator coils, and rotor are inside it).

Coil retention system would probably be the wedges that help keep the coils in the slots.   Also tieing and blocking of the endwinding help keep the coils in position.
