How to link to files/pictures correctly

How to link to files/pictures correctly

How to link to files/pictures correctly

(OP)
Recently, I've posted some jpgs on the forum....then thought it would be better to use ENGINEERING.com to link to so as not to make the original post so huge and cumbersome to read.
After some nosing around on ENGINEERING.com , I finally got to the place where you can upload pix.  (That took a while to find)
OK...
So, how do you make a link to the picture (or other file) so that it is the only thing that shows; in other words, what is it that you copy/paste into Step4,  Attachment so that others only see the intended picture and not the whole logged-in user's albums, etc?

RE: How to link to files/pictures correctly

Just use the [b]...or upload your file to ENINEERING.com" link below. You don't need to use your personal ENGINEERING.com membership access to upload files.

RE: How to link to files/pictures correctly

click on the thing that says:

... or upload your file to ENGINEERING.com

after that, it is pretty self explanatory.

CorB says;  Just use the [b]...

what is the [b] ?

Also, can more than 1 jpg file at a time be linked to?
If so, how?

RE: How to link to files/pictures correctly

I screwed up the TGML That should have read;

Just use the ...or upload your file to ENINEERING.com link below. You don't need to use your personal ENGINEERING.com membership access to upload files.

ZIP multiple files before uploading, and just post the links rather than the code to display the image(s). Images slow the thread too much for those without a high speed connection.
