2006 North Carolina Building Code which is NC's version of the IBC
Page 428 paragraph 2306.3.4

What kind of board are you asking about?  Are you referring to drywall?

The 2006 IBC has values for diagonally sheathed lumber diaphragms in Table 2306.3.3.

The AF&PA (www.awc.org), in their Special Design Provisions for Wind & Seismic (my version is 2001 but I don't think that it has changed), has a Table 4.2C "Nominal Unit Shear Values for Wood-Frame Diaphragms".

This should give you some design values to use.
