add and remove entities from contraints nx6.02MP2
add and remove entities from contraints nx6.02MP2
(OP)
I'm a little confused. I have used the new bond constraint between two component. Now I WANT to add an other component to this constraint. In the editing mode I can select the new additional component, but Ok or Apply is greyed out. The same is on deselecting a entity from a constraint. Works as designed ? Any workaround? How to use this editing mode?

RE: add and remove entities from contraints nx6.02MP2
The same procedure, only performing a shift-select (deselection) instead of a select, will work when removing Components from a Bond Constraint, except this only works if you're removing the 3rd or higher component from the Bond Constraint.
Note that you can NOT remove the 1st and/or 2nd component from a Bond Constraint, in an attempt to delete it, that you can only do by deleting the Constraint itself. However, you can remove one component and then immediately add another, as long as you remember to hit the 'Redefine Constraint' button once you've completed the selection/deselection step.

thank you,
I've tested and get a padlock on a corresponting constraint.
I removed the bond from the component, ok , but the padlock is still displayed. How can I resolve this ?

RE: add and remove entities from contraints nx6.02MP2
I decativated and activated the constraint had a padlock.
I have created two arangements, an angle constraint arrangement specific, after that I changed some features in the components. ok some , some constraint I have to recreate, no problem, but not the arrangement spec. angle constraint.
Changing to the other arrangement some component spec. constraints especially the bond constraints results wrong.
Are there some information in how to use arrangements / and the bond constraint?
I'm looking to provide the example

However, what you've done seems to be working OK, so what's the problem?

switch from one arangement to the other an look at the model, a bond constraint no working correct.

How is it that you feel that there IS a problem? How does it manifest itself? I see nothing, either in terms of feedback from the software or an unexpected result.

the orange component in the avi is constrainted with bond option, why does it move switching the arrangement.
thx
RE: add and remove entities from contraints nx6.02MP2
Arrangements -> Edit...
...and when the dialog opens, delete Arrangement 2. Now close and reopen the Edit Arrangement dialog and add a new arrangement. Now go back and redefine the arrangement specific values of the Angle Constraint for the two arrangements.
This should 'fix' the problem.
Anyway, give it a try and let me know how it worked out.

RE: add and remove entities from contraints nx6.02MP2
this is only a simple example, working like the help, cast only arrangement spez. constraint have doubled frame like the attached pic. and in arrangement option to ignore all constraints has never been used. ~ constraints do not really work safe in arrangements
thx
RE: add and remove entities from contraints nx6.02MP2
Did it resolve the problem?
Note that I've had NO problems assigning Arrangement specific Constraints, using either NX 5.0 or NX 6.0. Your example was the first time I had seen anything like that, but since there is no way of knowing exactly the steps taken during the creation of the Assembly and the applying of the Constraints, I have no way of knowing where this problem may have occurred or why. All I know is that if I start from scratch and recreate the arrangements and the arrangement specific constraints over again, it worked fine.

RE: add and remove entities from contraints nx6.02MP2
As I wrote above, I had to redefine the bond constraint on the three component, the arrangements had allready existed.
After this the arrangement/bond constraint doesn't work anymore as expected.
Is there any history ( constrait/arrangement ) to think about in this case?
