Translating .stl file to new view to part geometry mastercam x

Anyone:

Does anyone know how to make a previous saved stl file conforms to a new part geometry construction view (e.g. when you translate the part geometry to a new point hence creating a new one) in Mastercam X so when you run the machining simulator, the stock file is matches the new part geometry view?  Input on this matter would be much appreciated.

RE: Translating .stl file to new view to part geometry mastercam x

You need to orient the X0,Y0 and Z0 of both parts to the same coordinates.  This way, they will align properly.

Larry:

Thank you for you input on this matter, however, I still do not know the exact steps to rectify this matter on Mastercam X.  I do understand the concept of aligning the stl model file to the new part view geometry, but I am at a disadvantage of knowing the step-by-step process on Mastercam X.  If you, or anyone else, can explain this step-by-step process on Mastercam X, your input would be much appreciated.
