Methanol base timing

Hi all i just have finich my mitsubishi eclipse and i need advise regarding base timing for methanol. My engine is 2.4 l compresion 12.5 non intercooled. Injectors primery 1600cc secondary 2200cc gt42r turbo.I plan to run hi boost about 50 psi. Eny info will be gradly apreciate.

RE: Methanol base timing

Why such high compression AND boost with no intercooler.

I don't know how much you need to retard from stock. I don't even know stock boost, CR and timing. Also I don't know if you changed valve timing.

With all the unknowns, I can only guess you need to retard it a lot.

Ihave no room for intercooler.Iknow some guys push70  psi with no problem

RE: Methanol base timing

Have you measured their boost compression and charge temp, or are you taking their word. Talks cheap.

We run 10:1 and 40# boost, Roots blower, no intercooler 36 Deg SB Chev, but intake valve closes 75 deg ABDC. We win races with that. There is not much margin for error and an error is a hole in a piston.

temperature is over 175 deg @42 psi my timing is 10 degee.FR 4.1.Anybody know proper IGT for methanol?

RE: Methanol base timing

I would say that you need to drop those charge temps drastically. Maybe consider pre compressor water injection?
