Convergence Control - Damag Plasticity Concrete Model

Convergence Control - Damag Plasticity Concrete Model

(OP)

Hello:

I am working on an RC column model subjected to psuedo-static lateral loading. I am trying to capture the hysteretic response of the column. I am having convergence problems once I reach substantial nonlinearity in the material model. I am interested in relaxing some of the convergence controls within Abaqus, but am not too sure where to start. I was thinking about modifying the Residual Control and the Solution Correction Control, but am not sure. If anyone could give me some guidance on convergence controls for concrete plasticity models it would be greatly appreciated!

Regards,
