Tube end corrosion / erosion in Waste Heat Boilers

Tube end corrosion / erosion in Waste Heat Boilers

Tube end corrosion / erosion in Waste Heat Boilers

(OP)
This is one of the corrosion issues with conventional Reforming Plants or Sulphur Recovery Plants. Tube-ends get corroded and eroded on fire side and start leaking. The failure gets affected by Operational upsets, damaged refractory (castables or Ferrules), dry run, inadequate material and protection, etc.

I like to share Forum's experience on this recurring problem. You can post your experience, provide the internet links to useful information or your published work.

Thanks
