(OP)
Dear all,

my client is rejecting all hexagonal head plugs (ASME B16.11) aking the replacement by round head ones (ASME B16.11).
I barely remember that some client prefers round head type for safety reasons but now i can not find exactly which could be the concern on hexagonal type, can you help me??

Thank you in advance

Giuss

RE: Plug_rounhead_vs_hexagonal_head

Hex plugs do not protrude very much when installed and after time they rust in place and there is very little "Grip" space for a Hex Wrench.  You cannot remove them.

The "Round Head" plugs (often called "Bull Plugs") are 3" to 4" long when installed and so even when rusted in place there is plenty of room to get a big pipe wrench on them.  They come right out.

It is a simple maintenance issue.
