Manually add an item to parts list?

Manually add an item to parts list?

Manually add an item to parts list?

(OP)
This has probably been asked before, but my searches are coming up short.  Is there a way to manually add an item to the Solid Edge parts list without:

A) creating the item in the assembly, or
B) converting the parts list to text and adding another row?

The parts lists I use include consumables such as epoxy or silicone spray... something I'm not about to add to my model, but I do need them to appear in my parts list.  Any help would be much appreciated.

RE: Manually add an item to parts list?

Non graphic parts may be the way to approach this.

Essentially a part with no geometry but with the file properties filled out to appropriatly populate the parts list/BOM reports.

The file properties can even be modified to allow AR or X IN or manually entered quantities etc.

KENAT,

Have you reminded yourself of FAQ731-376: Eng-Tips.com Forum Policies recently, or taken a look at posting policies: http://eng-tips.com/market.cfm?
What is Engineering anyway: FAQ1088-1484: In layman terms, what is "engineering"?

RE: Manually add an item to parts list?

As Kenat says,
Non-graphic parts are the correct and ONLY way to do this.
It's easy and quick and the description etc gets called up the same way every time.
