Flareless,Flared & lip seal fitting
Flareless,Flared & lip seal fitting
(OP)
Hi,
I am little confused in selecting a tube fitting type.
We have 2 different pressure applications. One is 1500 psi and the other is 3000 psi.our customer has asked us to decide on the fitting type.
Is there any design criteria in selecting the fitting end i.e. flared, flare less and Lip seal fitting?
From the net I found that all the three fitting types can be used for 3000 psi application.
Thanks

Verify that there cannot be pressure spikes within the system caused by external loads being applied to an actuator. An example would be a loader pushing snow on a parking lot. The loader bucket hits a parking block or a curb causing a hydraulic pressure spike in the system. Those spikes can destroy a hydraulic system if not properly guarded with pressure relief valves in the circuit. Another issue would be utlizing acessories which can literally hammer a machine apart. One such an accessory is the hydraulic hammer used for breaking concrete on a loader.
