Midsurface in abaqus

(OP)
I was wondering is it possible to make a midsurface of the imported part? I managed to do it with the part designed in abaqus, but it seems impossible to do it with the imported part. All suggestions are welcomed...

RE: Midsurface in abaqus

I think it could be possible to do this with a python script... You should have a look on your replay file (default : abaqus.rpy) when you do that with your CAE model and then try to rebuilt a clean python file.
