COSMOS Drop test - Mesh good but won't execute

(OP)
Hi:

I am using Solidworks 2008 COSMOS professional software to drop two part assembly from 1m height. The assembly is meshed successfully but gives an error during execution. The error is generated during "Element connectivity's establishment" and the error is "Collapse nodes" are generated.

Don't have a clue about what Collaspe nodes means. The static-analysis run successfully. But Drop test gives an error.

Any suggestion will be helpful.

Thanks

RE: COSMOS Drop test - Mesh good but won't execute

Hello,

You may want to try posting an image of the file, this way we might be able to see the problem.

Also, look for mesh elements with high aspect ratios (i.e. very thin). Final question, are you working with imported files?

good luck,

Joseph
