Improving filter reliability

(OP)
The gasoline filters here at the refinery plug up frequently and cost a lot of dough to change out. Vendor is suggesting we go from pleated paper cartridges to synthetic filter cartridges. Can anyone shed some light on the advatntages of synthetic filters over pleated paper?

RE: Improving filter reliability

This sounds like more a question for one of the automotive forums.

However, if the filters are clogging, that means you've got too much crap in your gasoline, and your upstream filtering or sedimentation is not working properly.
