DYNAMICS IN STAAD

DYNAMICS IN STAAD

DYNAMICS IN STAAD

(OP)
Currently I am working with Staad.Pro on an bridge model where I am looking for its dynamic performance.
In addition to its natural frequency the software also provides mass participation in percent for x,y,z.
Unfortunately, I have no idea what this data is telling me. Especially because my fundamental frequency has a Participation Y of 28%, the 2nd-4th modes have 0%, the 5th 22%,...
Could somebody please explain in easy terms (I am not a dynamic pro) what this means?

Thanks
