Standard practice for drilled micropiles (also called bored-in piles by NYSDOT) is to use flush joint threaded mill secondary steel casing. Material certifications are not available for this type of material, so some agencies require random coupon sampling.
And, yes - the 2007 NY State Building Code does recognize micropiles.
