Speedpak question

Speedpak question

Speedpak question

(OP)
I'm using speedpak in SW9, and I can't find a way to include planes.

Here's my assembly structure
A
-B
--C
---D

I have a component in D that has a Right plane, and I am using that plane to position B within A (it makes sense functionally).

I made a speedpak config of B that includes part D, but I can not access the plane, so when I switch to the speedpak config, it can't solve.

Any suggestions?

RE: Speedpak question

Velcrow,
I am almost sure you cannot pick planes in SpeedPak.
Another issue to look at:
When you create a SpeedPak assembly and then use that assembly to build a drawing, the balloons match the Bill of Material. However, now you use that SpeedPak assembly in the next level drawing and point to the SpeedPak assembly you will find a * in the balloon bubble. I tested this in SolidWorks 2009 SP1.0 not SP3.0.

RE: Speedpak question

As per Standing's description of the BOM issue with SpeedPAK- I would stay away for now.  Its not ready and should not be in this release of SolidWorks.

RE: Speedpak question

SpeedPak is just a config of an assy, so when it comes time to use a BOM with that assy, just make sure the non-SpeedPak config is used.
