Sworks freezing after opening few dwgs

If I open up a couple of assy (and close them), sworks begins to hang up like its out of memory. It will befin to open the dwg, but continue to say (Viewing)and never gets there until I have to C/Alt/Del to shut it down. I have 4gigs of mem with a QuadroFX 1500 card. It hasnt always done this, just in the last few months.Im running 2007. Any ideas?

RE: Sworks freezing after opening few dwgs

Does the system hang if the drawings are left open?

Are they large drawings?

Are they being opened in Lightweight mode?

Do you have the /3GB switch set?

the system hang if the drawings are left open? Doesnt seem to matter if other dwgs are open or not. I will restart SW every once in awhile to prevent it. FYI. I am using 2(22") monitors. Im thinking this my have started when I replaced one of these monitors a few months ago, but cant be certain.

Are they large drawings? Not really, Maybe 20-35 simple parts, fairly simple.

Are they being opened in Lightweight mode? Both, does it with lightweight or resolved

Do you have the /3GB switch set? Dont know what this is

Is there a way to clear the cache in SW of the graphics card?

thanks
