Please help me with orcad layout?

Please help me with orcad layout?

Please help me with orcad layout?

(OP)
I have made a circuit with orcad Orcad Capture and now I am working on it with Orcad Layout. But all the connections of the pins are WRONG! And there is no way I can change them
How do I do this? It seems like when I use the Pin Toll i can just add new connections, but I can't delete the previous ones. How can I do this? Please Help.

RE: Please help me with orcad layout?

Figure out _how_ the pins are 'wrong'.  That should lead you to a solution.

E.g. are you just looking from the wrong side?
Did you specify a package other than what you thought you were specifying?
... stuff like that.

RE: Please help me with orcad layout?

You have to use the Library Manager.

I usually create a new library for the project and save all the footprints I need in the new library. I also usually end up changing every footprint to change pad size or drill hole size or stuff like that.

Then, you assign the footprint to the component in Layout and it should appear to be correct.

RE: Please help me with orcad layout?

Orcad is notorious for wrong pinouts on their library parts. I have been burned a few times. You can change the pin number in either layout or capture. I prefer capture.

Procedure to edit part:
1. Select part in Capture.
2. Right click and select edit part.
3. Select pin you want to change. A popup with the pin  name and number will appear edit and save.
4. Go to tools and select create netlist.
5. Click on layout tab and run eco to layout.
6. If you have the .max file open you will be told the netlist has changed would you like to update the layout file. click yes and the layout will be updated.
7. I always check footprints on new parts.
