Sketch Visibility

First off, NX6 is Awesome!...finally getting to mess around with it a bit more. Today's favorite finds are 'Reference' (feature parameters) and make sheet metal from Solid.

Anyways, I was wondering if it is now possible to have sketches show up entirely through a shaded part without having to 'edit' them? In the past I would just select the sketch and all of it would highlight through the shaded solid, now only the visible portions (those between you and the solid) highlight. I would the option of having all of a certain sketch (or all sketches on many parts) be shown at all times unless I have that layer turned off. (Layers aren't forecasted to go away, are they?)

Thanks for your time,

KLINE
Thanks

RE: Sketch Visibility

Just go to...

Preferences -> Selection...

...and in the 'Highlight' section of the dialog, toggle ON the 'Highlight Hidden Edges' option.

Thanks John, this cures my highlight settings, but what about if I would like the sketches to show through the solids at all times regardless of whether or not they are highlighted?

Thanks,
KLINE

Anyone?:   "What about if I would like the sketches to show through the solids at all times regardless of whether or not they are highlighted?"

Thanks Again,

KLINE

RE: Sketch Visibility

The only why that will happen is if the model color is modified with some level of translucency being set.

Dang. It is not a big deal, just something that would be nice to have for design reviews. Seeing too many edges (and varying translucency) can confuse people (customers), but seeing the telltale sections (sketches) that they are familiar with, complete and through an opaque solid, would be perfect in design reviews for a particular side of our business.

Thanks John,

KLINE
