Sliding Distance Contact

Sliding Distance Contact

Sliding Distance Contact

(OP)
Hi,

Is there a way to contour the sliding distance (of slave surface w.r.t master surface) on a deformable contact in CAE ?
I tried using Tangential motion at nodes option, but Abaqus is saying "Variable not available in display group".

All I want it to see how much slip is there on the contact.

Thanks in advance
SS

RE: Sliding Distance Contact

You can specify CSLIP in your output request. It is also available in ABAQUS CAE. The slip will be given in two normal directions. You will have to write a script if you are interested in the magnitude of vecotor.
