Weldment member view label on drawing

Weldment member view label on drawing

Weldment member view label on drawing

(OP)
I have a weldment drawing with views, a cutlist, and balloons on sheet 1. On sheet 2 I have views of the individual weldment members.

How can I make view labels for each of the weldment members?

Ie... On the Sheet 1 cut list - Item 03 has QTY 4, descr TS6x6x0.25, material ASTM A-500, part number XXXXX.  I want to put all that info underneath the view for Item 03 on Sheet 2.

We do this using $PRPVIEW:"..." for assemblies... no clue with weldments.

Please help. Thanks!
SW2008.

Is this something that no one does?  Or do you put in view labels manually?

RE: Weldment member view label on drawing

All that information can be placed into the custom properties of the individual members, and then linked to the annotations of sheet 2 as per the norm.

RE: Weldment member view label on drawing

What I do is make a custom annotation, with links to the properties of the component in the view. Save that note to the design library and then just drag it onto the part in the view.

Hope that helps you. Diego

RE: Weldment member view label on drawing

Hi, TerryR1:

I do not have an easy answer for you.  But why do you want to add (manually) a label to relative view of a body?  Adding a balloon to the view should take care of everything you need.

Alex
