Apply a force/displacement to a point on a deformable body

Apply a force/displacement to a point on a deformable body

(OP)
Hi,

How do i apply a force/displacement to a point on a deformable body?

For example, my model (in 2D) is a deformable circle on a rigid ground, and I want to roll the circle along the ground.

Thanks in advance for anyone's help,
Philip

RE: Apply a force/displacement to a point on a deformable body

The force can be applied as a concentrated force. However you will have to figure out all the forces and bouundary conditions. The force set has to be in equilibrium for static analysis.

Thanks for your help Gurmeet,

I think I have figured out how to do what I want now.

Thanks again,

Philip
