NX5:Space Navigator Question

NX5:Space Navigator Question

NX5:Space Navigator Question

(OP)
Just picked up a 3dconnexion space navigator personal edition and so far I really like it. I had a couple questions:

Can I set different speeds to the seperate axes? It seems like it rotates the model too fast but pans and zooms quite slow in relation. I know I can adjust the overall speed.

I would like like to assign F8 to one of the buttons as that is one I use often to orient the model. Which command would that be from the menu of commands they supply?

Thanks

Al

RE: NX5:Space Navigator Question

Open the 3Dconnexion control panel.

Under "Button Configuration" select "Snap View" for the button you want to assign it to.

Under "Advanced Settings" you can set different speeds for each axis.

I have the commercial edition, I don't know if it is different from the personal edition.

Snap view did it thanks. I don't have an "advanced settings" feature. Must be in the professional edition software.
