Incorrect parts list quantity

Incorrect parts list quantity

Incorrect parts list quantity

(OP)
Hi All,

I have a castor assembly that is showing 2 for a part when there is only 1 in the assembly.

Any idea what could be causing this?

RE: Incorrect parts list quantity

BOM override within the model or the drawing's parts list?

There are a couple places a manual override can be done.

Where can a BOM override be done in the model?

Thanks

RE: Incorrect parts list quantity

In the Assembly Panel, there is a "Bill of Materials" feature that will pull up your BOM.  In my view, a manually over-written BOM notes what's change in bold blue text.

I'm not sure how to reset this to pull the data from the model if it is over-written though.

RE: Incorrect parts list quantity

I did find how to reset the value of whatever was changed.  Just delete the entry and the BOM will pull the info from the model.

Thanks for the help.

I'll check today to see if that fixes it.

On a parts list at the .idw level you can also reset to the default BOM value by right clicking the bold blue text and checking "static value".
