Nitronic 50 Temperature Data

Nitronic 50 Temperature Data

(OP)
I am in need of some temperature data for Level 4 Coldworked Nitronic 50. What is the tensile and yield strength of Nitronic 50 at 400 degrees F. Are there any temperature lists available for this material. I appreciate any pointers.

Thanks Chris

RE: Nitronic 50 Temperature Data

Get it from AK.  If they don't have it you won't find it.

I'll give it a try.

Thanks

RE: Nitronic 50 Temperature Data

Oh Ed, yee of little faith.  You forgot there are lots of old timers that have lots of old data.

I have old, old Armco data on Nitronic 50 that shows the following for 54% cold swaged

Temp      UTS     YS
RT        230     216
200       215     205
300       206     199
400       200     194
500       195     191

RE: Nitronic 50 Temperature Data

You can also look the data up under 22-13-5 SS or XM-19.

If I recall correctly the numbers posted by MikeMet are for small diameters. We used 135 UTS as the practical max for anything above 1 1/2" in diameter
