SW Parts Viewer

SW Parts Viewer

(OP)
We have two network seats of SW2009... however a number of users would like to be able to view parts / assemblies and print.

A month or so ago I D/L'd a viewer from the SW web site, it was a demo (30 days) but worked just fine till it expired and now starts up as the "free viewer" with an option to register /license it.

Returning to the SW website in an attempt to find some literature on this viewer.. all I see is a free version available for download.

When I install this free viewer (and open a file) I get a error message.. "error Creating instance of MSXML2::domdocument. And then  a runtime error and the program (viewer)closes.

So.. Is the error being cause by installing this on a pretty lame testing computer... or???
Is this "free" viewer what I want in the first place?.. what other options / programs are out there..

My needs are... ability to open SW2009 part; assembly; and drawing files. Do cross sections and print.

Thanks for any thoughts

Thank you CorBlimeyLimey..

I logged into the customer area and found "other" viewers.. It seems the one I had been looking for was the eDrawing program..

Then.. the next question.. Licensing this to the professional level.. Are there "free" licenses available to us if we have 2 network seats of SW2009...

RE: SW Parts Viewer

I'm not sure, but I think that depends whether your SW package is Standard, Professional or Premium.

It is "SW2009 Premium"... I can not find much info on this on the web site.. The DWGeditor for example states there are 3 licenses available with each seat.. but everything points to this being something to purchase..

RE: SW Parts Viewer

A year ago i think we have similar problems on one computer at our company. I goggled a lot and find that I needed to download msxml6_x86.msi and install it. I don´t remember where I got it from.
