Saving BMPs of a model or drawing.

Saving BMPs of a model or drawing.

Saving BMPs of a model or drawing.

(OP)
Hi,

 I have made a drawing of an assembly exploded and I want to save the file as it is in drawing mode as bmp.When I export it as bmp and select every object to include the resultant bmp only contains ballons & parts lists and the original drawing dissappears in the BMP.Any ideas on how to save the drawing as an image file.

Thanks.

RE: Saving BMPs of a model or drawing.

Dear Loker;

When you save as bmp from the drawing tab in MDT you only get the paper space objects. If you save as wmf file format you will get everything. I find I can insert wmf into Word, Excel or just about any other program.

Regards

Adrian

RE: Saving BMPs of a model or drawing.

Hi there, I picked this tip up somewhere else and havent 'fully' tried it out but I reckon it is worth a try!!!!.
 I used to have all sorts of hassle trying to get a decent image out of Acad, but I tried this tip the other day and its just so easy!! :

 Get your screen display as you would like the image and go to plot, then in the plot device dropdown go to 'plot to jpg' set up the scale and everything(!) and hey presto a good clean image with a automatic white background!! :).

 Havent tried it with rendered/shaded objects yet, but Ill leave that to u..............

See ya,

Sirius.
