Rubber grips for plastic components.

(OP)
Hi,

I'm looking for a kind of rubber pads, which will help to provide proper grip on plastic material (HDPE) and also having good properties like food grade and anti bacterial.

Basically i want this for some sort of water filters.

Please let me know if somebody have used something like this in past.

Thanks & Warm Regard..........

RE: Rubber grips for plastic components.

Do you want to do two material molding or insert molding? Do you want to use a separate rubber pad and glue it to the HDPE?
If you go with two material molding or insert molding you will want to talk to someone like GLS or Santoprene's technicla people because not all grades of their TPE's will stick to HDPE. If you try to glue a pad to HDPE you will need to corona or flame treat the HDPE because the glue will not stick to untreated HDPE.  Talk to the glue guys to give you a hand.
