Paper Space-Scaled Viewport-recalling how was scaled?
Paper Space-Scaled Viewport-recalling how was scaled?

Pals
I do presentations and not one to one scaling. Paperspace works wonders to me then.
I dont really scale viewports, I just pan and zoom in model mode to the size I like and switch to paper mode.
But then I forget the scale that came with that zooming.
How can I find the scale of that viewport? I need it sometimes eg for texting on paper space.

It also helps to Lock the Viewport when you get it to the scale you like.

One suggestion ...generate two other layers, 0-VP & 0-ML. 0-VP is for all view ports (and nothing else!) and 0-ML is for matchlines around the view port (at the same dwg coord.s as the view ports) so you can make them phantom line types. Note the "0" in front of the layer names just positions the layers so they are first on the layer list and you wouldn't have to wade thru the layers to deal with them. My $0.02, GOOD LUCK!

Depending on the autocad version, that not only saves the view orientation and scaling, but also layer settings if that's something that gets fiddled with often.
