scrubber internal nozzle diameter

scrubber internal nozzle diameter

scrubber internal nozzle diameter

(OP)
WHEN SIZING A SCRUBBER I FOUND A 'MOMENTUM CRITERION' TO SIZE THE INTERNAL NOZZLE DIAMETER IT WAS/
mean density of the mixturein the feed pipe*(velocity of the mixture)^2
it's value must be < 6000
can u explain for what is this criterion and if i have a momentum > 6000 what shall i do
thx

RE: scrubber internal nozzle diameter

To keep the nozzle jet reaction from bending the vessel wall.

Cut the flow in half and buy another vessel just like it and run them in parallel.
