Problem with Files

Problem with Files

Problem with Files

(OP)
When I open an excel spreadsheet, it opens 8 other excel files at the same time.  If I close the 8 files I don't want, there is only one loaded, but if I close it and re-open it, I get the 8 other files again.  Any suggestions? or is something set that causes excel to 'remember' the previous eight files?

If you want to see the problem, I uploaded a file into Concrete Formwork engineering under my name Dik and the other files are attached.

RE: Problem with Files

Is it really 8 different files, or 8 windows of the same file?

View and window settings of a particular file are saved.

Try open the file, close all the extraneous windows, SAVE, close.

RE: Problem with Files

The spreadsheet is linked to a spreadsheet "Bearing .xls", which I don't have, but it tries to open it. So, if that links to several other files, and they automatically open, you get what you observe.
Check the list of links under the Edit menu, option Links...

Cheers,
Joerd
