glass material completly clear instead of shaded?

glass material completly clear instead of shaded?

glass material completly clear instead of shaded?

(OP)
Is there a way to make the glass material show completly clear instead of slightly shaded? When creating a drawing of a assembly where the parts housing is glass. The parts inside the housing loss their dark edge lines. I am trying to figure a way of keeping those edge lines, and removing any shade from the glass material part.

Thanks!!

Matthew

RE: glass material completly clear instead of shaded?

adjust the color properties till you get the results you want in the style and standard editor (lowering the opacity will be the easiest).
You are talking about a shaded idw view correct?

RE: glass material completly clear instead of shaded?

I think there are some options in the Tools=>Application Options=>Display tab - try changing the 'Active edges/silhouettes' radio boxes.
