Missing rigid plates when run, result seems correct

Missing rigid plates when run, result seems correct

(OP)
Hi,

My model simulates two rigid plates compressing a helical coil spring. However, I don't see the two plates in the result, just a line. However, the result seems to be correct. What is wrong?

RE: Missing rigid plates when run, result seems correct

The plates are analytical surfaces and are defined as only a line. Use the sweep/extrude feature in view options to make them appear as plates.

I didn't mention that the model didn't converge, it stops at Time = .16,

I tried to reduce the step time but it didn't help.

I could not open the file please compress cae and jnl file in a zip file and attach it again.

Good Luck,

Do as Corus suggested. No need to post your file.
