Could anyone help me to give info data of vapor pressure of fuel oil used in bunker tanker with viscosity 380cSt & 700cSt?

thanks and regards,

RE: vapor pressure of fuel oil

0.1 psia @ 70F. MSDS should contain this data.

When indicating viscosities it is customary to give the temperatures at which these are measured. Anyway, IMHO a minimum "flash point" (and the measuring method used) should be specified.

And, since Reid VP is very common, if its Reid or True VP.

BigInch, from my old days at the lab I recall that RVP's are only measured on volatile petroleum products, not on bunker fuels.

RE: vapor pressure of fuel oil

Right.  With very low VP, you wouldn't register much difference anyway, but I was commenting about VP in general, not necessairily oils alone.

25362 and BigInch,

This is the flip side of incomplete data. If the OPs requirement is for pumping then VP data is redundant as we have to maintain more than 80C for proper pumping. The detailing of application might have provided better replies.

RE: vapor pressure of fuel oil

More detail usually brings a better response, but who said anything about pumping?

The question ONLY asks about Vapor Pressure of fuel oils.
No more questions implies maybe he needs no more of an answer.

RE: vapor pressure of fuel oil

Nobody said anything about pumping but I am just giving an example about how my reply can be of less use. Mentioning your names was just redundant as it was a bit of monologue.

RE: vapor pressure of fuel oil

I thought you were trying to revive the thread.  Doesn't look like its worth any CPR.
