Help: I've lost my standard Design Library

(OP)
I'm using Solidworks 2009 and I've lost my standard design library. Specifically I need my library of forming tools. I have the CD, but I can't find the library on the CD. How do I reinstall the library?

thank you,
Leigh

Do you mean the SW install CD/DVD?

Check that your [/b]File Locations[/b] in Tools > Options > System Options is set to look at the correct location of the Design Library. Do you use the as-installed location or a custom location?

the actual folder is fully missing. I'm supposed to have a folder at the location:

z:\program files\solidworks\data\design library

but this folder does not exist. I deleted it somehow. I'd like to reinstall this directory from my Solidworks DVD but I can't figure out how.

any advice would be most appreciated.

thank you!

RE: Help: I've lost my standard Design Library

No, you're not supposed to have that folder. I don't have it and my design library is quite all right. Look at
C:\Documet and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SolidWorks\SolidWorks 2009\Design Library
or something similar. Make sure the folder is added to Design Library in File Locations
