Autosave in inventor

Is there a way to install an autosave system in inventor 7. Invnentor is a nice program to work with but a great stability is there none. Every once in a while it crashes and every thing between the crash and the last save is gone. The system I'm meaning is a system like in autodesk mechanical desktop or autocad.

Anyone knows a way to install such a system?

Thanx in advance.

RE: Autosave in inventor

I dont think autosave is viable option ... try to save after you make a correct feature or assemblr a component.. or simply saying after a action you want to get saved ..

RE: Autosave in inventor

Upgrade to INV 2010 it has a save reminder built in..
Or try any one of the free save reminder programs ...search on google..

Remember you cannot have an autosave with inventor but you can have a save reminder program... There are a few reasons why autosave does not work with Inventor.. Like you cannot save when in edit sketch mode,etc...
