Hey all,
Using NX5...But I think it's the same in previous versions.

Scenerio: You have a REALLY long program. This requires you to scroll down to see some of your operations.

Problem: You scroll down to the bottom to edit an operation. As soon as you edit anything, the navigator jumps back to the top requiring you to scroll back down everytime you do anything. Very annoying.

Is this normal behavior? can it be changed? I really want the navigator to just stay still!!! quit jumping around!!

Thanks,
Jay

RE: operation navigator behavior, scrolling.

You can set up a filter on the Operation Navigator to display only the operations you want.  When you done editing you can shut off the filter.

Have you considered grouping your operations? Depending on how you post things, it might be more efficient.

RE: operation navigator behavior, scrolling.

All I can say is that I'm not seeing this occur. If you use Edit with Rollback it might do something that could be described in similar terms but for me at least I'm not seeing the scrolling of the Feature tree move about or lose focus at all. I'm predominantly using timestamp order by the way. I thought you might like to know that it might be be something other than NX itself. I was using 5.0.5.3 in looking into this on your behalf.

Best Regards
