64 BIT MACHINE

64 BIT MACHINE

(OP)
I have AUTOCAD LT 2000 and recently purchased a 64 bit machine. The salesman told me that Vista can be made to ask how to run the program when it is installed. Big news, Vista doesn't ask and the computer tells me that the program isn't compatible. Is it time to move on?

RE: 64 BIT MACHINE

yes; ACAD 2000 is no longer supported by Autodesk.

RE: 64 BIT MACHINE

Hi Dtuck,

I agree, it's definitely time to move on, however, if you need to confinue with LT2000, you can try this:
  • Right click on the acadlt executable file.
  • Select the "Properties" option in the popup.
  • Then, select the "Compatibility" tab and set the compatibility mode.
You may have to experiment a bit and in the end, it may not work, but it's worth a shot.
