How to inspect a glass-lined pressure equipment?
How to inspect a glass-lined pressure equipment?
(OP)
I have three questions.
1.Does 'glass-lined' mean 'fiberglass-reinforced Plastics(FRP)'?
2.Are there standards or codes about FRP for pressure equipments?
3.How to inspect a glass-lined pressure equipment effectively?
Thanks in advance.

RE: How to inspect a glass-lined pressure equipment?
Yes. One such code is ASME Section X.
RE: How to inspect a glass-lined pressure equipment?
Start with spark testing to ensure the integrity of the glass. Contact the equipment manufacturer (I would guess it's either Pfaudler or Dd Dietrich)for more information, including testing equipment and procedures.

If you need more info on maintenance, repair and inspection of glass-lined equipment, try to get a hold of the July 1, 2007 issue of Chemical Engineering magazine. There's an article there titled "Maintenance and Repair of Glass-Lined Equipment".
