Transformer and/or Transformer Tank Design Software

Transformer and/or Transformer Tank Design Software

Transformer and/or Transformer Tank Design Software

(OP)
Do you know of any commercially available software useful for the the design of small and medium power transformers?  What about mechanical design programs for the tank alone ie stress etc? (beyond Autocad).  Thanks for your advise.  I didn't have much luck searching the web.

RE: Transformer and/or Transformer Tank Design Software

Our Waukesha Electric Systems units were designed with
Pro/E.

Some of our padmounted units were designed with AutoCAD.

I would say one of the commercial CAD packages is your
best bet.  Sorry.

I think the best (and easiest to use) CAD program I've seen
(even beyond Solidworks) is Ashlar Vellum Cobalt.  Cheaper too.
It core geometric engine was conceived by a draftsman for draftsmen.
